Protina is a company with a long and successful history dating back to 1900, when Volkmar Klopfer, a doctor of chemistry, founded the Dr Klopfer nutrient factory. It specialised in the development and production of branded products made from protein, sulphur, trace elements and minerals. This formed the basis for the collaboration between Protina Pharmazeutische GmbH and Dr Klopfer mbH, which is now part of the Protina group of companies.
